features,thecurrentusermusthavesufficientpermissionsontheSQLServer(e.g.amemberof
theDomain
Adminsgroup).
NETSatisFAXtionPortServerwillrunastheSYSTEMaccount.ThisisimportantbecauseifaremoteSQLServerisin
use,itwillrefusetheConnectionServerbydefault.Besuretocreatealoginforthe
DOMAIN\SERVERNAME$account
ontheSQLServerandgiveitpermissions(listedbelowunder“runningpermissions”)totheNSPortServerMainand
NSPortServerBillingdatabasesorequivalents.
BoththeConnectionServermoduleandthePortServermodule(s)requireadatabaseconnectionsoeachserver
usedmusthaveSQLpermissions.
SetupPer missions
TheaccountusedwhenrunningtheNETSatisFAXtionPortServer’sFaxHardwareSetupprogrammusthavethe
followingpermissions:
CreateDatabases: Grantserver‐wide“Createanydatabase”permission.
CreateTables: Grantdatabase‐specific“Createtable”permission.

remoteSQLServer.
