BrooktroutFaxCards

Any Brooktrout analog (loopstart) fax card is capable of routing on Line or DTMF. These cards               

mustuseDTMFSetuptoenableDTMFdigitcaptureonthesecards.



Any Brooktrout DID fax card is capable of routing on DNIS. No additional configuration is              

necessary.



Brooktrout T1/PRI cards are capable of routing on DNIS. No additional configuration is            

necessary.



EiconDivaServersarecapableofroutingonDNISfromtheT1orPRI.



MainpineRockForce/IQExpress

Any MainPine analog fax card is capable of routing on Line or DTMF. These cards must use DTMF                 

SetuptoenableDTMFdigitcaptureonthesecards.



AnyT1orPRIEquipment/AnyOtherVoIPEquipment

DNIS is normally captured and can be used to route faxes. No additional configuration is              

necessary.



2.5.1.8EnablingDTMFCollection

Each type of fax device has its own method for enabling DTMF collection. Refer to the section specific to                  

yourdevice.



AudioCodesMediaPackMP114/MP118

In order to enable DTMF collection for AudioCodes MediaPack gateways, a simple configuration            

changemustbemade.



“Admin.”Theadministratormayhavechangedthesedefaults.



NavigatetoProtocolManagement⇨EndpointSettings⇨AutomaticDialing



ChangetheAutoDialStatusforallportsto“Hotline.”



ClickSubmit.



BesuretoclicktheBurnbuttonatthetopofthepagetomakethechangespermanent.

When the MediaPack receives a call it will now play a second dial tone. The PBX or phone switch                  

will deliver DTMF tones, and the call will ring through to the fax server. If you make this change,                  

andheardialtoneafteryoucallafaxextension,thenthePBXisnotdeliveringDTMF.



DialogicBrooktroutFaxCards

Use the DTMF Setup utility to enable DTMF collection. DTMF Setup can be found in Start ⇨                

Programs ⇨ NET SatisFAXtion ⇨ Extended Server Settings. Click Fax Port Settings, then Launch             

DTMFSetup.



Eachport’sinit_stringintheClass1registrymusthave#CID=5appended.



MainpineRockforce/IQExpress
